Virtual race - UTVV (2)

The 6th edition of UTVV Slovenia should take place this coming weekend. As the conditions do not allow us to hold a mass competition, we are preparing a competition for you, which you can do alone or in the company of friends, on the right track in the Vipava Valley or somewhere where you record the same conditions as offered by the tracks in the Vipava Valley and enjoy the beautiful nature.

Registration will be available from 15 to 17 May on: www.alpeadria-trailcup.com

The true Virtual race, where we take into account the time at a certain distance and the completed minimum of certain vertical meters. 5 categories, the same distances as you can run on UTVV Slovenia in REAL! – Obelix UTVV 8 km and 150 v.m.

– Asterix UTVV 13 km and 350 v.m.

– Legionar UTVV 33 km and 1350 v.m.

– Gladiator UTVV 53 km and 2200 v.m.

– Centurion UTVV 108 km and 4800 v.m.

As we prepare challenges for MTB riders too, we partnered with MTB Vipava Valley and offer you two distances of MTB Vipava Valley Marathon: – MTBVV 30 km and 670 v.m. – MTBVV 55 km and 1400 v.m. The runners/riders in accordance with COVID-19 regulation choose the mentioned distance and minimum altitude difference; everyone competing in the “athlete” category must post a Strava or equivalent link of their run, the rest runners/riders post a link to their social profile where they posted the training.

Rules of participation:

1. The basic rule and your guiding principle should be honest when presenting your results.

2. You will have 2 options to participate in Challenge nr 5:

– trail running/ride for fun (not racing mode)

– run one of 7 distances (8, 13, 33, 53 and 108 km and both MTBs) and submit proof from social media at check-in.

– Competition – run one of 7 distances (8, 13, 33, 53 and 108 km, and both MTBs) and submit proof from social media (race mode) and enter your time. 3. A challenge is counted when you reach both parameters – distance and ascent. 4.

For those who take part in the competition mode, it is advisable to plan the route well in advance to help you find a combination of the intended mileage and ascent (eg, plan a 1350m ascent for 33 km).

5. In case you already have e.g. 33km and you have not made enough ascent, continue until you reach 1300m of ascent.

The same is true in the opposite case if you reach 1350m of ascent before you reach 33 km. 6. It is also essential for everyone in the competition section to mark your activity as a race on Strava because this is the only way to take your breaks into account.

7. It is desirable for the competition section that the start and finish are at approximately the same altitude (approximately equal to ascent/descent).

8. Registration for both options is made after the challenge has been completed.

9. The results will be announced the day after the weekend ends and you will receive diplomas for the challenges you have completed by email.

10. Go outdoor and have fun on the trails in accordance with COVID-19 rules of course ).
