At this year’s Ultra Trail Vipava Valley I Feel Slovenia, we’re taking the challenge to the next level by adding a unique element.
Roman soldiers will take on the 30 km distance in full historical gear. As you run your race, you’ll encounter them on the course—a thrilling moment that blends the ancient with the modern.
But remember, the true challenge lies in your journey on the trail, with history serving as an exciting bonus!
Here’s what to expect on Saturday, April 26th, at 8:00 AM:
Gladiators will start behind the Roman soldiers for the first 100 meters, running side by side before the soldiers branch off onto their 30 km route. It’s a brief but rare spectacle before you continue on your ultra-trail journey.
For the Legionar, Centurion, and Emperor runners, you’ll catch up with the Roman reenactors as you push through the course. You’ll overtake them, giving you a unique nod to history while you stay focused on your ultimate goal—the finish line.
Invite your friends, family, and supporters to witness this one-of-a-kind event! As you forge ahead, they’ll get to see both your strength and resilience alongside a living piece of history.
