POP INTO THE POSTOJNA AND PREDJAMA CAVES
When visiting Slovenia, be sure to see Postojna and Predjama Caves. Postojna Cave is the most visited cave in Europe, known for its unique underground creatures, the baby dragons – human fish or proteus, which can live up to 100 years. You can explore the cave’s wonders, including a Christmas show, by taking a train ride on the 140-year-old railway that runs through the cave.
Near Postojna Cave, you can find Predjama Castle, the largest cave castle in the world. For over 800 years, it has been guarding a 123-meter-high rock face and is connected to a mysterious underground cave through tunnels.
